This Salted Caramel Banana Oatmeal has the perfect balance between salty and sweet! It's simple, delicious, and totally suitable for my vegan friends. The texture is creamy and feels very comforting.

Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp oat flour
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • pinch of salt

Wet ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup milk of choice I used unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp greek yogurt Use soy yogurt if vegan
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp almond butter optional

Toppings

  • banana
  • sugar-free caramel sauce
  • hemp seeds

Instructions
 

  • Prepare - Add rolled oats, oat flour, salt to a bowl and mix well. Then, add-in milk of choice, water, honey or maple syrup and stir until well combined.
  • Microwave - Be sure to use an oven-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir until well combined. Therefore, repeat process for another minute.
  • Serve - Be careful, the bowl will be very hot. Add greek yogurt, almond butter and stir well.
  • Toppings - Cut banana in slices and add to the oatmeal base. Drizzle with caramel sauce and add hemp seeds.
  • Enjoy - Be ready to daydream!
