Lightly grease a small oven-proof container with cooking spray or butter to prevent the cake from sticking.
In the over-proof container, combine the all-purpose flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir until these dry ingredients are well combines.
To the container of dry ingredients, add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together until you have a smooth, consistent batter.
Evenly sprinkle chocolate chips over the surface of the batter. The chocolate chips will melt and create a delicious topping as the cake bakes.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs but not wet batter. Let cool and enjoy!
