These chocolate donuts are made with wholesome ingredients. They are a guilt-free indulgence. I loved making and enjoying them, and I'm sure you will too!
In another bowl, whisk together the egg, coconut oil, honey, yogurt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
Transfer the batter into a ziploc bag and seal it. Snip off a corner of the bag to create a makeshift piping bag.
Pipe the batter into a greased donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through.
For the chocolate topping:
While the donuts are baking, prepare the chocolate coating. Place 70% dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
Finishing the donuts:
Allow the baked donuts to cool completely at room temperature.
Once cooled, carefully dip each donut into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated on top.
Place the chocolate-coated donuts back on the wire rack to allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
Refrigerate the donuts for about 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate coating sets.
After chilling, the donuts are ready to be enjoyed!
