This Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola is VEGAN! No weird ingredients are included as the store-bought granolas. This one has only 5 ingredients. It’s healthy, delicious and addicting!
You will never want to go back and buy it at the store again. Trust me, they are the BEST!
When I was a kid, I was skeptical about the peanut butter and chocolate combo. I liked them both but separately. Now that I have grown up is one of my favorite combinations in the world. Ironic, right?
Well, I made this healthy granola the other day. And all you have to do is combine 4 ingredients and bake for 15 minutes. The texture is crunchy, works perfect as topping for yogurt or smoothie bowls and you won’t ever need to buy it at the store again.
Ingredients to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola
- Rolled oats – main character of the movie here! If Gluten-Free make sure to get a certified one.
- Cacao powder – I used unsweetened cacao powder, healthy, bitter and great aroma. Any benefits aside from its deliciousness? It’s rich of antioxidants which great for your health. Cacao gave these waffles an amazing chocolatey flavor that made them irresistible.
- Liquid sweetener of choice – In my case, I used honey but if you are vegan, feel free to use maple or date syrup.
- Peanut butter – Make sure to use a peanut butter where the only ingredient are peanuts! No other added oils needed.
- Himalayan Salt
How to make these Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola?
- Prepare – Gather all the ingredients, start by mixing all the rolled oats, unsweetened cacao powder and himalayan salt. Therefore, in a separate bowl mix the honey or maple syrup and peanut butter.
- Microwave – Once you have mixed the peanut butter and liquid sweetener of choice. Microwave for 45 seconds. Then, stir well and pour into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
- Bake – Preheat oven at 175C. Grease a tray or use a parchment paper, place the mixture on the tray and spread out evenly leaving large chunks. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Serve – It’s important to let it cool, in that way the granola will turn out crunchy! Enjoy with yogurt, fruits, smoothie bowls or alone!
Tips for storing Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola
Store in an airlight container or mason jar up to 4 days! (But I don’t think you would need to store them for a long time! They are so addicting and will be gone quick, hehe)
What to serve with this Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola (optional)
- Fruits: strawberries or banana slices or any desired fruit.
- Yogurt: Any of choice, could be a plant-based one or greek yogurt. I recommend a plain or vanilla one because the granola is full of flavor and is already sweet!
- Smoothie bowls: They are perfect for the crunch feeling you need in these bowls! They are perfect!!
- Milk: Just like a typical cereal bowl. Add-in the granola into a bowl first and the pour some milk. I would choose an unsweetened almond milk but feel to use any milk of choice.
- Alone: YES! They’re so good that could be eaten alone as a snack or even dessert!
