Equipment
- fridge
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats 50 g
- 1/2 cup milk 120 ml
- 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder 25 g
Chocolate Crunch topping:
- 4 small squares of dark chocolate 20 g
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil 2 ml
- 3 tablespoons amaranth puffs 5 g
Instructions
- In a container, mix rolled oats, vanilla protein powder and milk until well combined. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- For the chocolate crunch topping, start by microwaving dark chocolate with an olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. This usually takes about 30-45 seconds in total, depending on your microwave’s power.
- Once the chocolate is melted, mix in amaranth puffs until they are evenly coated with the chocolate.
- Pour the chocolate crunch mixture on top of the prepared oatmeal batter. Spread it evenly to cover the surface.
- Cover the container with a plastic wrap or cover with a lid. Refrigerate the overnight oats for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together and for the oats to soften. Enjoy next morning!
