This baked oats bring me so many childhood memories!
Fun fact: When I was 8 years old, I used to grab a single Oreo package from the pantry, serve a glass of milk and eat “Oreos and Milk” for breakfast! I thought it was something I could have as I was in summer break and Mom wasn’t at home.
But… isn’t that a child’s dream?? Haha, that was literally dessert for breakfast!!
Today I brought you a “healthier alternative”, high protein and more filling!
The ingredients on this recipe are: oats, greek yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, vanilla protein powder, milk, maple syrup or honey and baking powder.
The ingredients to make Oreos And Milk Baked Oats
We have a lot of your favorite ingredients and here’s what you’ll need:
- Oat flour – which is blended rolled oats. Feel free to use any kind of oats but if gluten-free make sure that it’s certified!
- Vanilla protein powder – I highly recommend to use a flavored protein powder, especially vanilla for a better taste. It also gives a protein boost which will keep you satisfied for hours! In the last circunstances, replace for coconut flour.
- Baking powder
- Yogurt – Preferably, plain yogurt. Greek yogurt works as well. If you’re vegan, make sure to use any plant-based alternative.
- Milk of choice – I used unsweetened almond milk but you can use any other kind of plant-based or dairy milk.
- Honey – I used honey as my liquid sweetener of preference but if vegan, feel free to use maple or date syrup
