Here’s what you need…
We have a lot of your favorite ingredients and here’s what you’ll need:
- Oat flour – which is blended rolled oats. Feel free to use any kind of oats, quick oats work as well. If gluten-free make sure that you choose a certified brand!
- Salt – Salt is so important on recipes. Because it enhances the flavor like crazy!
- Vanilla extract – For that special hint of vanilla flavor.
- Liquid sweetener of choice – In my case I used honey but to make it vegan use maple, agave or date syrup.
- Almond Butter – I used natural Kirkland’s Almond Butter. It’s made with 100% almonds so no weird ingredients, added oils and extra sugar are in the jar.
- Dark Chocolate – In my case, I used 70% dark chocolate bar
- Sprinkles
The instructions to make this recipe
- Prepare – Gather and measure all ingredients by starting to mix the oat flour, unsweetened cacao powder and salt in a bowl. Therefore, add-in the almond butter, liquid sweetener of choice and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. If the mixture seems too wet, add a bit more oat flour. If it’s too dry, add a bit more almond butter. It should resemble a somewhat sticky dough that holds together when lightly squeezed.
- Make the balls – Shape into a 1-inch ball, using your hands to mold them together. Should yield around 10-12 small balls. Therefore, refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- Melt chocolate – In a bowl, melt dark chocolate in the microwave for 20 seconds in 3 intervals. Otherwise, chocolate may burn.
- Dip – Dip chocolate balls one at a time into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
