    Why I love overnight oats?

Simple, SAVES A TON OF TIME!! Whenever I have early morning UNI classes. I make this the night before and when I wake up next morning I just grab my overnight oats from the fridge and I’m ready to go!

Ingredients to make Strawberry Mango Overnight Oats

    • Rolled oats – Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. You can use quick oats as well.
    • Flaxseed – another powerful food. High in Omega-3, fiber and you won’t taste anything of it. Great for thickening the oats.
    • Milk of choice – I use unsweetened almond milk, which has many healthy benefits, doesn’t raise blood sugar, it’s high in vitamin D and may strengthen your bones. But feel free to add the one of your preference.
    • Vanilla protein powder – Completely optional but highly recommended! The protein powder will give you an extra protein boost.
    • Any granulated sugar – I use erythritol to keep the oats base completely sugar-free. But you can use any sugar available in your pantry.
    • Water

Do you need to cook overnight oats?

Nope! That’s how it makes them easy and quick to make. Because is made by soaking rolled oats in the liquid overnight.

The texture of the oats is different from the cooked version. Less gummy with a chewier texture!

Of course you can! Overnight oats can be prepared up to 2-3 days in advance. You’ll even save more time! Breakfast will be ready once you wake up.

Can I eat overnight oats hot?

YES, YES, YES! Specially for those cold mornings. And there’re two ways:

    • Microwave: Grab the overnight oats from the fridge, microwave for 45-60 seconds (make sure there’s enough space at the top of your jar to prevent overflowing).
    • Stove-top: Transfer to a saucepan and heat over medium heat until warmed through.
