The ingredients to make Salted Caramel Oatmeal

    • Rolled oats –  any kind works but I prefer this one because they are thicker and have a chewier texture.
    • Granulated sweetener of choice –  I use erythritol, which is a sugar substitute
    • Salted caramel protein powder
    • Milk of choice – I used unsweetened almond milk but you can use any other kind of plant-based or dairy milk
    • Banana – For the potassium and natural sweeteness
    • Strawberries – Because who doesn’t love them? Plus, you get the antioxidants
    • Water

How to make Salted Caramel Oatmeal?

    The instructions

    • Prepare – Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Then, in another bowl mix the wet ones. And, therefore everything together.
    • Microwave – Be sure to use an oven-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Then, microwave again for another minute.
    • Serve – Be careful, the bowl could be very hot.
    • Toppings – Cut fruits in slices and add to the oatmeal base.
    • Enjoy – Be ready to daydream!

How’s the consistency of this recipe?

This oatmeal bowl is THICK which is my all-time favorite consistency. But if you like it creamy, no worries, just add a splash of unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice!

Can I make this recipe on the stove-top?

    The answer is YES!

Literally make the same thing, throw everything into a saucepan, cook on a low heat for 10 minutes or until desired consistency. Serve on a bowl, add toppings and ENJOY.

    Ingredients substitutes and notes

    • Rolled Oats – If, Gluten-free just make sure to be certified.
    • No flaxseed? No problem, add chia seeds!
    • Almond butter – If allergic or simply just don’t like it. Omit it.
    • Sweetener – I used erythritol but you can use any desired sweetener.
