Do you love chocolate and Oreos? You will love this Easy Oreo Chocolate Oatmeal recipe! It’s ready under five minutes and is a make-ahead breakfast for those busy mornings.

It’s the perfect recipe for cooking lazy students or busy people who prefer quick and easy dishes to cook. And guess what? It’s vegan!

    HEALTHY CHOCOLATE OREO OATMEAL

A fun fact, is that when I was in elementary school, during the summer break, I used to wake up excited for breakfast (still), go straight to the kitchen, grab some oreos, serve a glass of milk and THAT was my breakfast. I had to do it on secret, otherwise my grandma would have scolded me, hehe. It wasn’t the ideal breakfast but isn’t that a dream for a kid?

Anyways, today I brought you one of my childhood’s favorite combinations in an oatmeal version which is way better!!

    CHOCOLATE OREO OATMEAL BANANA

You will only need a microwave for this Easy Oreo Chocolate Oatmeal recipe. It comes together in a few minutes and is a great breakfast choice. It is high in protein and fiber making it a very filling meal when paired with fruit.

The ingredients to make Oreo Chocolate Oatmeal

    • Rolled oats –  any kind works but I prefer this one because they are thicker and have a chewier texture. Feel free to use quick oats but make sure to add less water!
    • Oat flour – I like to add oat flour because it thickens your oats! Giving a sticky consistency.
    • Granulated sweetener of choice –  I use erythritol, which is a sugar substitute. Feel free to use stevia, monkfruit, or any of choice.
    • Unsweetened cacao powder – Make sure to use an unsweetened cacao powder because you will be adding the sweetener.
    • Chocolate protein powder – The protein powder is completely optional, but I like to add it for the extra amount of protein.
    • Pinch of salt – So important on chocolate recipes because it enhances the flavor like crazy!
    • Milk of choice – I used unsweetened almond milk but you can use any other kind of plant-based or dairy milk.
    • Plain yogurt – (optional) I used greek yogurt! Adding yogurt to oats give them a creamy consistency!
    • Banana – For the potassium and natural sweeteness
    • Oreos – Star of the movie
    • Water
