How to make these No Bake Chocolate Chip Energy Balls?
The ingredients
We have a lot of your favorite ingredients and here’s what you’ll need:
- Oat flour – which is blended rolled oats. Feel free to use any kind of oats, quick oats work as well. If gluten-free make sure that you choose a certified brand!
- Salt – Salt is so important on recipes. Because it enhances the flavor like crazy!
- Vanilla extract – For that special hint of vanilla flavor.
- Liquid sweetener of choice – In my case I used honey but to make it vegan use maple, agave or date syrup.
- Peanut Butter – I used natural Smucker’s Peanut Butter. It’s made with 100% of peanuts so no weird ingredients, added oils and extra sugar are in the jar.
- Chocolate chips – I used Ghirardelli’s 60% dark chocolate chips. You can use any type of chocolate chips. If you don’t have, then replace for dark chocolate cut in small chunks.
How to make this Chocolate Chip Energy Balls?
The Instructions
- Prepare – Gather and measure all ingredients by starting to mix the oat flour and salt in a bowl. Therefore, add-in the peanut butter, liquid sweetener of choice and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. If the mixture seems too wet, add a bit more oat flour. If it’s too dry, add a bit more peanut butter. It should resemble a somewhat sticky dough that holds together when lightly squeezed.
- Roll – Roll into 1-inch ball, using your hands to mold them together. Should yield around 6 balls.
- Add – Consequently, add chocolate chips on top by slightly pressing them into the ball so they can stick. The more, THE BETTER (trust me).
- Enjoy – Eat inmediately or to set, pop in fridge for 1 hour! Refrigerating these balls will give a harder texture almost like a truffle consistency
How to eat these Energy Balls?
Immediately from the batch! If you would like a harder texture or “truffle-like consistency” then pop in the fridge for 1 hour.
